Your mission
At Skoove (part of Learnfield), our mission is to unlock the magic of playing an instrument — and as our next Product Owner, you’ll be right at the heart of it.
You’ll guide your cross-functional squad by translating bold ideas and real user needs into impactful features that help millions of learners experience the joy of piano. From shaping product goals to embedding continuous discovery, leading agile delivery, and driving measurable business impact — your work will turn that mission into reality for people around the world.
This is a hands-on role for someone who combines curiosity, clarity, and a strong sense of ownership — someone who thrives on meaningful collaboration and learning fast.
Your job
As Product Owner for our Piano Learning team, you will:
Own and manage the product backlog — define outcome-oriented user stories, prioritize work, and maintain clarity on the “why.”
Translate business goals and user needs into product requirements that deliver measurable value.
Define and align on product OKRs and KPIs with the CEO, CTO, and Director of Instrumental Teaching — and track them to steer decisions.
Champion agile best practices by leading sprint planning, refinements, reviews, and retrospectives.
Integrate continuous discovery habits into the team workflow: user interviews, hallway tests, fake doors, in-person testing, and more — working closely with design and content.
Design validation strategies for each feature and experiment: what to test, how to test, and how to learn fast.
Use tools like Mixpanel and other analytics platforms to ask better questions, explore hypotheses, and make smart product decisions.
Help the team balance business impact and user value — prioritize ruthlessly and transparently.
Communicate product vision, context, trade-offs, and decisions in a clear, motivating way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Lead by example: document your decisions, articulate assumptions and risks, and foster a strong culture of learning and ownership.
Collaborate with external partners such as piano makers, retailers, and educators to strengthen product-market fit.
Your profile
What You Bring to the Team:
We’re looking for someone who can complement and level up our existing team in specific areas where we want to grow. You don’t just “do the job” — you coach through doing:
You deeply understand continuous discovery and know how to embed it in everyday work. You coach others on choosing the right method — from user interviews to fake doors to small-batch tests.
You’re confident in data analysis: you ask sharp questions, find insights fast, and use tools like Mixpanel to uncover what really matters.
You’re experienced in prioritization frameworks, and you’re comfortable driving conversations about trade-offs, value vs. effort, and strategic impact.
You bring an experimentation mindset: hypothesis-driven, test-learn-iterate — and you help the team stay lean and adaptive.
You bring a structured approach to decision-making: clear hypotheses, stakeholder input, traceable documentation.
You’re a strong communicator — able to give great context, rally your team, and share decisions with clarity and empathy.
You write stories that focus teams, slice wisely to build momentum, and prepare sprints that encourage flow and ownership.
You know how to craft and track OKRs and KPIs, lead up to epic planning workshops, and keep urgency alive without burnout.
You understand the balance between delivering user value, investing in learning, and supporting personal development — and help the team navigate that balance.
You think and act entrepreneurially — practical, resourceful, user-first.
You understand agile ownership and delegation — and you embody it, knowing when to step in and when to step back.
Who you are5+ years of experience in product ownership or product management, ideally in B2C mobile, music, or edtech.
You’ve shipped digital products that made a measurable difference — for users and the business.
You play an instrument and understand the joy and frustration of learning it — piano is a big plus.
You’re comfortable with analytics, user research, and experimentation — and know how to mix intuition with evidence.
You’re well-versed in agile delivery and collaboration, ideally using tools like Jira, Figma, Confluence, or Mixpanel.
You communicate with clarity, empathy, and focus — and know how to align diverse stakeholders.
You love feedback, lead with purpose, and create space for others to do great work.
Nice to have:
Experience in subscriptions, gaming, or educational platforms.
Background working with international or distributed teams.
